Courion's comprehensive new product suite re-defines identity and access management with 30-day cloud deployment and fast time-to-value
Automated, easy-to-use solution, offered on-premise or in the cloud, delivers core identity, access and compliance functionality at radically lower cost
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Courion® Corporation, today announces the new Access Risk Management Suite which provides a simple and fast time to value alternative to the complexity and high cost of typical identity and access management (IAM) solutions. Automated and pre-configured for rapid implementation based on the best practices of more than 500 customers, the Access Risk Management Suite delivers results within 30 days at a price anywhere from one third to one quarter of traditional solutions.
Courion, the leader in identity and access management for access risk, developed the Access Risk Management Suite as a single platform for managing user access to vital information by automating and integrating key IAM functions such as identity and access governance, user provisioning, and password management. In addition, Courion also announces Access Insight™ which constantly analyzes IAM and other security data from these applications and external sources to identify and quantify risks to vital information such as intellectual property, medical records, personally identifiable information and customer data.
Powered by an underlying access intelligence engine, Access Insight identifies associations and patterns that might violate compliance guidelines, and company policies, or indicate hidden risks. The structure of the product's access intelligence cube helps customers create near-real-time graphical profiles of the most critical business, people, policy and security risks to information, replacing manual data sorting and static risk scoring that lacks context and a connection to business priorities. By integrating risk profiling with provisioning and attestation, the Access Risk Management Suite enables managers to remediate risk as soon as they are identified.
"The identity and access management market has been ripe for a disruptive approach for some time. Organizations across the board struggle to generate value from many IAM projects both in terms of implementing more efficient business processes and more effective administration and governance of identities and their associated data entitlements," said Steve Coplan, senior analyst, enterprise security practice, The 451 Group. "Courion has taken a bold step to revisit the economics of IAM and to rethink a data-driven approach to better model access risk to inform decisions about granting and curbing access to vital information. In tandem with a services-based model and pre-configured integrations to lower the upfront costs of implementation, Courion is looking to provide improved visibility into the risk associated with access entitlements and a framework for remediation for a broad range of organizations."
Offered on-premise or in the cloud
The Access Risk Management Suite is available as on-premise software or as a pay-as-you-go SaaS (software as a service) offering called CourionLive™. Much as Salesforce.com made customer relationship management simple and economical, CourionLive provides full functionality with the low start-up, operational and maintenance costs, as well as quick time to value, of a cloud-based solution.
In this age of open environments, where businesses are running applications on the cloud and communicating via the Web, mobile devices and social media networks, the Access Risk Management Suite gives companies the assurance to confidently open their information systems to partners, customers and suppliers while identifying, quantifying and managing information security risks.
"With the security of over 65,000 volunteers' and employees' identities and access rights to manage across both premise and cloud applications, we need a flexible, affordable solution that also gives us a path to assessing access risk," said a Courion customer, CISO at a non-profit agency. "Courion’s approach of providing out of the box best practices and the option of a SaaS solution provides the kind of flexibility, pay as you go, and visibility that we can really use."
The Access Risk Management Suite provides a graphical view of access risks, important notifications and alerts and key actions that are personalized for executives, compliance and risk managers, IT operations, and business users. The applications perform access risk management and IAM functions such as user provisioning, role and profile management, compliance and password management. Courion's library of more than 300 connectors streamline integration with all major operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Exchange, PeopleSoft, SAP, Salesforce.com, Equifax and EPIC.
"Organizations are increasingly opening up their systems and sharing information in order to accelerate their business. Customer self service, mobile access, information in cloud offer new opportunities but they also bring with them new risks," said Dave Fowler, senior vice president, products and marketing at Courion. "The Access Risk Management Suite is built on a state-of –the-art Access Intelligence engine designed to help organizations confidently utilize their information systems to drive their business by giving them the visibility and tools to effectively see and manage their access risks."
