Courion Showcases Industry Leadership and Innovation at 7th Annual Customer Conference

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — May 18, 2009 — Courion® Corporation, leaders in access governance, provisioning and compliance, today announced the details of CONVERGE 09, the company’s seventh annual customer conference. With this year’s theme, “Access Assurance: Turning Today’s Challenges into Opportunities,” the conference will examine the concept of Access Assurance and provide actionable steps that enable organizations to improve security while achieving measurable business results and maximizing return on investment.

Highlights of the CONVERGE 09 agenda include:

• A panel discussion moderated by Burton Group’s Ian Glazer, senior identity and privacy strategies analyst, on the impact of regulatory requirements on business and IT decisions. Panelists from industry-leading organizations including People's United Bank, Dollar Tree, FirstData Corp and Memorial Hermann Healthcare System will discuss the impact of an ever-changing set of regulations on business and IT decisions and what technology can do to help automate processes and satisfy the requirements of multiple regulators.

• A session on self-funding Access Assurance presented by Wendy Booker, vice president, access control and support services, SunTrust Banks, will examine how to attain and retain funding in difficult times, how to measure and report on the business benefits, and how to maintain a state of perpetual improvements and self-funding.

• A customer case study session featuring People's United Bank’s CISO, Tim Callahan, and Brookdale Senior Living’s CIO, Scott Ranson. They will compare and contrast the business problems they needed to solve, how they went about solving them, what they learned, and where they are going now.

• A session led by Sam Curry, vice president of product management and strategy at RSA, The Security Division of EMC, on how to implement a comprehensive access and compliance management strategy. This session will discuss how using a common integration framework to link data loss prevention (DLP), activity logging, and security incident and event management (SIEM) tools with access management technology can enable improved security and greater business agility.
